Dear Darren, We just love our new home that you’ve created, what an amazing transformation. You’ve created something very special and we appreciate all that you’ve done. Glad to see you are going to bigger and better things. Wishing you all the best with the business, you’ve got all the key ingredients; brilliant problem-solving skills, good staff and trades people, managing to costs, attention to detail, a sense of fairness and above all a good sense of humour. Darren Hall has worked for me on various projects, from being the foreman on the building of my house, to being the builder doing hard landscaping works, and renovating a holiday house. I have found him to be a most impressive young man with the most impressive work ethic I have witnessed, who works tirelessly and relentlessly in the pursuit of client happiness and satisfaction whilst keeping focussed on quality of workmanship. His attention to detail in providing excellent quality workmanship is second to none. He demands the highest standards both from his staff, his subcontractors and himself. Darren is incredibly organised and efficient meaning he can bring a project in on budget and on time. He has an excellent relationship with his clients as well as his staff and subcontractors. His attributes go beyond being a good builder to being a good person. He is an example to his colleagues and friends. Darren is a young man of incredible integrity with and impressive work ethic who can back this up with excellent workmanship and efficiency. His business name, Pride and Passion, speaks volumes.

We contracted with Darren Hall and his team at Pride and Passion on the recommendation of our architect, Michelle Walker Architects, for a major renovation of our 1920's Californian bungalow in Gordon, NSW, in April 2017. We moved back into our home in late December 2017 after the approximate 8 month build. We will be forever grateful for the recommendation as Darren and his team were nothing short of amazing for the whole build. The renovations were substantial, including a pool, wine cellar, new indoor/outdoor living, and internal renovations, all in a heritage conservation zone and with intricate architectural detail. Communication was first class and the thing that really stands out was Darren's ability to see solutions, not problems. A number of challenging issues were encountered during the build, including underground pipes, boundary retaining walls and drainage issues, and Darren and his team solved them all in a very cost effective manner, taking a lot of strain and worry off my hands. I can't stress enough what a great quality it is to see past the problems and focus on who we can move forward and solve them in a cost effective manner. They worked like I have never seen in a builder, 6 days a week to get the job done and our family into our home for Christmas. They were respectful of the neighbours, all of whom have commented on how great they were. The quality of the renovation is amazing, and the house is a constant delight to come home to each day. There was a complete focus on quality and attention to detail, and superb quality materials. I can truly say the build was a great experience, and for the process and outcome to be so good is a testament to Darren and his team, and I have no doubt they will be moving onto bigger and better things in the future. I know a lot of neighbours are clamouring for their services. Any family that gets a Pride and Passion house in the future are lucky indeed.
